The Cardo
Experience a journey back in time, for an event you’ll never forget
Welcome to the main avenue of Jerusalem during the Roman period. Where history still lives, breathes and blends in with the present day of the Jewish people.
The beautiful mosaic walls, the carved stone pillars, the shaded tunnel and the separate areas along both sides of the avenue make you feel as though you’re walking back in time. It’s so easy to stroll along here and imagine how our ancestors did the same, stepping on the exact same paving stones. Recently, extensive reconstruction efforts have been made to this site. Today, in this magical location, considered one of the most unique venues in Israel, you can celebrate your special event.
The History
Close your eyes and let your imagination take you as far away as possible. Think medieval dining tables, large oil lamps dotted around and a lavish royal banquet. Don’t open your eyes, yet, as you may actually opt for a classic modern design to complement the ancient background? Or maybe you’d prefer to leave the site in its natural state with its original stonework?
This is exactly what is waiting for you and your guests. An event to send you on a journey back in time, connecting you to your roots and your unforgettable event.
